Before I share some options for modest swimwear, I want to share a video I watched years ago. It is super informative and I encourage women to watch it.
There are a lot of opinions amongst our Christian sisters on what is modest and what is not when it comes to swimwear. This needs to be something we bring before the Lord, not with our hearts already made up, but with a humility of openness to have the Spirit lead us to HIS standards.
My conviction is that two pieces and bikinis are completely off limits – for myself and our daughters. One pieces aren’t necessarily more modest either though so EVERYTHING has to be tried on to see how it fits the body.

If you’re a larger chested woman, it can be VERY hard to find a swimsuit that does not show any cleavage. I understand how frustrating this can be but there are options and I believe the honor we show the Lord by covering up is worth the sacrifice of not being able to wear what you may wish you could. 🙂

I personally won’t spend a lot of money on a bathing suit, or as the British say “swim costume,” (i love that lol) SO there’s always the option of wearing a tanktop and shorts over a swimsuit.
It doesn’t matter if everyone else is wearing bikinis. We have to remember that we live for Christ and we do not conform to the patterns of our culture.
Raise your hands & touch your toes. If anything shows, go change your clothes.

Modesty is not really about clothing guys, or your body. It’s about Jesus, and we need to be glorifying Him in everything we do – including how we dress.

I also want to encourage you ladies in something related. We can become so consumed with how people are going to view us in our swimsuits or in anything we wear. The fear of being viewed as unattractive or fat can consume us. We can then make choices to be paralyzed by those fears and not participate in summer fun.
DO NOT LET THE FEAR OF WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE KEEP YOU FROM MAKING MEMORIES WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
Instead of focusing on yourself, think about your children. THEY WANT YOU TO PLAY WITH THEM. They want you in the water, in the sandbox, on the playground, in the sprinkler, jumping on the trampoline. It’s so important that we interact with our littles and aren’t just a body present.
INSECURITIES ROB US. Let this be the year you don’t allow this any longer. GET OUT THERE and don’t wait until you look how you dream of looking to do it. So much time is wasted by WAITING to lose weight or look a certain way. It’s self-centered thinking and it is a thief! Your children don’t care what you look like and your husband married you, trust that he finds you beautiful.
GO HAVE FUN AND MAKE MEMORIES WITH YOUR CHILDREN! BE JOYFUL. ENJOY GOD’S WONDERFUL CREATION THAT HE HAS SO GRACIOUSLY SHARED WITH US.

“Whether we eat or drink, whatever we do, do it all for the GLORY OF THE LORD!”

Another great company (small business) to buy modest swimsuits from is The Honeymark (not affiliated, just a fan and paying customer)
Not all of them are, but they have some very cute ones that cover up very well and are super cute and comfy! Perfect for a day in the water with the kids!
