“To be slandered is a terrible thing but it is, on the whole, a lesser evil than to be thought better than we are.” – Charles Spurgeon
Biblical womanhood is not having a cute heavily marked in or designer Bible, a playlist of current worship songs that bring about cathartic experiences, drinking from a “Coffee + Jesus” mug, going to church and attending women’s Bible studies, wearing skirts, wearing worldly fashion in the name of ‘Christian Liberty.’
Biblical womanhood is not attending WOMAN OF FAITH conferences and having read the latest popular Christian women’s book.
Biblical womanhood is not being friends with the world but proclaiming Christ.
No.
Biblical womanhood is not trendy.
Biblical womanhood’s price tag is not whatever the latest shop is selling their Christianized t-shirts for but the death of GOD Himself, Jesus Christ.
Biblical womanhood is self-denial, death to the self-service, death to self-love, and death to self-preservation.
Biblical womanhood is obedience to the Word of God and not culture, not feelings, and not society’s norms.
Biblical womanhood is submission IN EVERYTHING: to her earthly father and then to her husband, always to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Biblical womanhood is being a woman who prays, not just for meals and for protection but earnestly prays throughout her day.
Biblical womanhood is being a woman who lives in the WORD, not being content with a verse for the day, while she wastes her time on frivolous activities and entertainments.
Biblical womanhood is to be innocent as doves but sharp as serpents.
Biblical womanhood is anti-feminism.
Biblical womanhood will either cause the unbeliever to riot or repent. The unbeliever will not be comfortable around her because she is a woman who exudes CHRIST.
She cannot help but teach other women to obey the Lord, to love their husbands and their children, to serve their communities, and to be busy in the home.
She will love her husband according to God’s definition of love, according to HIS WORD, and not what society, Hollywood, says about love.
She will fight for the lives of those taken away by death. A “pro-life” sticker will not do. She will stand in the gap either by word, prayer, and/or action to stop the murders of the innocent.
She will be quiet and use wisdom, be discerning through the Spirit’s help and cling to HIS WORD to reply, react, and respond.
She will be a woman of repentance.
She will be a woman who seeks no earthly glory but fights the flesh’s urge to BE SOMEBODY and give all worship and glory to Christ alone.
Biblical womanhood is not trendy.
Biblical womanhood, again, is service, obedience, repentance, and growing in the Spirit through sanctification after she has been regenerated by the Lord.
She is a woman growing in Holiness – for HIS purpose and glory.
She will be mocked, ridiculed, rebuked, slandered, and possibly even physically hurt by wicked men and women who hate the Lord and love their sins. She will submit her feelings to Christ and pray that it would all be counted as GREAT JOY.
She knows this is not her home. She is merely passing through. The Gospel is her lifestyle and her wardrobe glorifies the ONE who gave His life for her: exchanged His perfect righteousness for her utter wretchedness on the cross.
She trusts the SOVEREIGNTY of God, knowing not one leaf falls to the ground that is outside of His will and control.
She is a light because of Jesus. Others will try to snuff her out but in persecution, she will shine bright.
Her armor is God’s Word. She lives in it, she prays to love it and obey it always.
Biblical Womanhood is not trendy. It’s a rarity. It’s the narrow road.
Biblical Womanhood are full of women you will never hear of. They seek no popularity. They are busy serving God quietly: in their homes, their marriages, in their churches, and communities. You’ll never know their names. You’ll never know their brand. You’ll never read their book or hear their podcast.
EVERYTHING a Godly woman does is for HIS GLORY. If he strips it all away, she releases it gladly to His trusting care.

I pray sisters that we stop TRYING to be Godly women and we submit to the Word of God: growing in His righteousness, killing our sin by His Truths, and bearing good fruit for His glory.
Please keep me in your prayers and know that I am praying for you.
May we shine brightly for the Lord Jesus Christ.
“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” – John 17
