Hello dear sisters.
WHAT A WEEK. This is an understatement honestly.
We got news on Thursday that Kaydi has a rare tooth condition that is going to require oral surgery. Yes, my same little girl who recently had her 5th leg/hip surgery.
We got the news from her dentist and my baby immediately said: “I’m cursed.” We shared some tears and then went to the Lord, remembering He is always good and always in control.
Then Saturday morning came. I personally cannot go into details but I received some heart shattering news: extremely shocking and very very painful. Please don’t speculate – for love of me and in the spirit of being Christ-like. I promise whatever you may believe it is, it isn’t. This news has brought up some heart shattering things – things I’ll have to work through with continual counseling.
Getting all this news had me pausing on how I am spending my time. I need to be 100% focused on my family – without a lot of time spent on other things.
The one “extra” thing I do everyday is Instagram.
And so I decided that’s what needs to go.
I am only sharing about the painful news I received on Saturday so that maybe anyone who is annoyed that Im getting off Instagram (again) will extend me some grace. Please.
This will be a good compromise: not to have to be on my phone daily but still having the ability to share content: Godly Womanhood, Homemaking, my Weight Loss Journey, Homeschooling, Book Club, etc.
I have had SO many women on my IG ask how they can be praying?
- Please pray for healing in the private situation I mentioned above. It is very much appreciated and needed.
- Please pray for our upcoming homeschool year : we have one child in middle school and one in 4th. We are starting school with a brand new curriculum. I’ll need to be super organized and focused to stay on track with school and be dealing with this new surgery and ongoing therapy/work on Kaydi’s legs and hips.
- Please pray we find the right pediatric oral specialist.
Thank you for all the encouraging DMs and support. You ladies mean so much to me.
BOOK CLUB CONTINUES….
I’ll be posting weekly questions (for Through Gates of Splendor) and last months (Jane Eyre) engagement winner this upcoming week. We will continue to read and grow together. 🙂
